That's the CCEB all right - what a version of that tune - QUITE different, yet invigoratin'...some o' those chords r gonna phreek the holiday spirit right outta Ma/Pa/Grandma/& Aint Bea...

There's some killer classic DW phrasing in there...

It almost sounds to me as if some of the parts were recorded at diff. times[?, instead of all the guys at 1ce, altho i could be mistaken]...still killer, tho...

Can someone summon Randy Walker and ask him which track Vinnie played on? He played on one (or maybe more) of the GRP Christmas Collections (he posted it once), and I'm gonna scope it out of my collection and listen to it again.

Vinnie's on this same CD. He plays on Tom Scott's 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.'

I MP3'd it, but it wasn't as HOT as the Weckl track. If anyone wants me to post it, just say the word.

Crotales are small metal or brass[?] "disc[-ette]s" that are tuned to pitch/scale [you chemistry or class. perc. majors out there will correct me if needs be!]...
Neil Peart used to have 'em in his massive kit set-up, back in the late-70's-to-late-80's, mounted behind him [above the tubular/'churchy' bells]...
